This is a variation of the Bruene Directional Coupler as found in the DWM-4. The complete brochure can be found HERE I decided I need a remote sensor for my mobile wattmeter, so here goes this project. These pics show the coupler and meter on my test bench, in final tests before installing. I am still working on this project as of right now (06/25/06) 
 
 I successfully finished testing the sensor (06/30/06), so I installed it into the amp. Here are pics of the installed sensor, and the test setup for it. 
 
 I ended up removing the sending unit because the meter unit I was using was not capable of showing over 186 watts. I will put this on the back burner and make a meter unit specific for it later. |
